About the venue
A circuit you can flood on purpose.
At the Circuit du Bourbonnais, the track can be watered on demand. An irrigation system built into the asphalt lets instructors switch between dry grip work and wet drift training on the same corners.
The circuit opened in 2009 on the Moulins-Montbeugny airfield and was homologated in 2010 by the French car and motorbike federations, FFSA and FFM, for speeds above 200 km/h. It was designed from the start for training and leisure rather than racing: 2.3 km long and 10 m wide, flat, with several layouts, fast and slow corners, hairpins and chicanes, and no guardrails or concrete walls, just wide grass run-off.
Cars run on track days through the year and on grip, drift and GT driving courses, in muscle cars, German and Italian GTs and drift-prepared cars, with courses from age 16. Motorbikes get their own days on Wednesdays from March to October, plus training with instructors and rental bikes with equipment included. Sidecars are welcome too.
The site also runs road safety and eco-driving training and drift passenger rides, times every lap with an Alfano system and two timing loops, and offers drone photo and video of your session. Between runs there is a bar and restaurant, a training room and Wi-Fi.
The circuit is about 10 km east of Moulins in the Allier, an hour from Vichy and around three and a half hours from Paris by car.
