About the venue
Race between departures.
Strap into a five-point harness, grip a direct-drive wheel and feel the cockpit pitch and roll as you brake for the first corner. The Racing Unleashed lounge at The Circle puts ten of these simulators directly opposite Zurich Airport.
Racing Unleashed was founded in Switzerland at the end of 2018 by entrepreneur Francisco Fernandez to make motorsport, one of the most expensive sports there is, accessible to everyone. Former Sauber Formula 1 team principal Monisha Kaltenborn became CEO in 2019. The lounge at The Circle covers more than 400 m².
Racing Unleashed's cockpits have a formula-style fibreglass body made in Italy, hydraulic brake pedals, a direct-drive wheelbase, triple screens and motion in pitch, roll and yaw. The standard car is the RSS Formula Hybrid 2025, and the track list runs from Monza, Spa and Silverstone to Racing Unleashed's own circuits, including a 7.6 km virtual lap through Zurich Airport itself.
No experience is needed: the team sets you up and explains the controls. Sessions run from a 15-minute Quick Ride to a 60-minute Pro Session, with coaching, race-day packages and group events. Drivers must be at least 13 years old and between 1.55 m and 2.05 m tall.
The lounge is in Haus 3 on the north side of The Circle, reachable by train, tram and bus to Zurich Airport or by car via the P4 car park. For a bigger grid and a bistro, Racing Unleashed's 17-simulator flagship is at Europaallee in the city.
